Men's Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy for Men Who Feel Stuck, Disconnected, or Under Pressure

Most men don’t come to therapy because everything is falling apart. They come because something isn’t working the way it used to.

You might be functioning well on the surface—working, providing, showing up—but underneath, there’s tension you can’t fully name. Stress that doesn’t shut off. Irritability you don’t recognize as yourself. A sense of disconnection from your partner, your work, or even your own motivation.

Many of the men I work with say things like:

“I’m fine… but I’m not myself.”
“I don’t feel depressed, just worn down.”
“I can’t seem to relax, even when things are going well.”
“I don’t want to talk in circles. I want things to actually change.”

If that sounds familiar, this work may be a good fit.

What Men Often Bring Into Therapy

Men come in for different reasons, but the themes are often connected:

Chronic stress or anxiety that never fully turns off
Anger, irritability, or emotional shutdown
Work pressure or career dissatisfaction
Relationship strain or repeated patterns with partners
Panic symptoms or feeling out of control internally
A sense of numbness, disconnection, or burnout
Feeling stuck between who you are and who you’re expected to be

You don’t need to have the right words for it. We start where you are.

What Starts to Feel Different Over Time

This isn’t therapy where you vent for an hour and leave with the same weight on your shoulders.

As the work progresses, men often notice:

More emotional control without suppressing everything
Clearer thinking under stress
Better communication without escalating or shutting down
Less reactivity at work and at home
Stronger boundaries without guilt
A steadier sense of self-trust and confidence

The goal is not to change who you are, but to help you respond differently when pressure hits.

How I work

My approach is grounded, collaborative, and practical.

I don’t assume there’s something “wrong” with you. We look at patterns with curiosity and work toward solutions that actually fit your life.

In our work together, I draw from approaches such as IFS-informed parts work, DBT skills, ACT, and emotionally focused principles. Practically, this means learning how to understand internal reactions, regulate strong emotions, and respond differently in real situations at work, at home, and in relationships.

A Space Built for Men

Many men I work with have never been in therapy before. Others have tried it and felt it didn’t quite fit.

You don’t need to be articulate, emotional, or “good at therapy” to benefit from this work. You just need to be willing to show up honestly.

Men’s individual therapy is available in Texas via telehealth.
